Mandate

The mandate of office of the Assistant Attorney General in charge of Community Programmes, Human Rights and Legal aid covers aspects like human rights, legal aid for the needy, among others. Below is the complete list:

(1) Provide efficient legal services the public;

(2) Promote Civil Status matters at the national level;

(3) Provide solutions to public enquires;

(4) Promote Human Rights and ensuring conformity with provisions of international instruments;

(5) Source funds and providing legal aid to the needy

Structure of the Community programs, Human Rights and Legal Aid Services

The Community programs, Human Rights and Legal Aid Services comprises of :

(1) An Assistant Attorney General in charge of Community programs, Human Rights and Legal Aid service supervising the Service;

(2) Principal state Attorneys in Community programs and Legal Aid.

(3) State Attorneys in Human Rights, Community program and Legal Aid.
