Waiving of Age Condition

 
The required age to get legally married is 21 years at least. However, due to convincing reasons, the Minister of Justice / Attorney Genera or his delegate, can admit the marriage to under 21 years old applicants.

She / he who gets married under 21 years integrates automatically the age of majority due to the marriage.

Necessary requirements

  The motivation letter by the applicant addressed to the Minister of Justice / Attorney General with a copy to the Executive Secretary of the Sector who she / he supposes the marriage will be celebrated;

  The application letter from parents or tutor addressed to the Minister of Justice / Attorney General requesting the authorization of marriage;
  Certificate of birth;

  Certificate of pregnancy delivered by a recognized doctor, when the applicant is pregnant;

  Certificate of orphan, when the applicant is an orpha

Four new prosecutors sworn in



The prosecutors, Jean Baptiste Nshimiyimana, Jean Bosco Muhayimana, Domitilla Mukangoga and Jonas Niyitegeka, sworn in yesterday at Prime Minister’s office, Kimuhurura in Kigali city.
