Handover ceremony between outgoing and incoming ministers of justice and attorney general

On September 23, 2021 at the Ministry of Justice Headquarters took place a handover ceremony between the outgoing Minister of Justice / Attorney General Busingye Johnston and the incoming Minister of Justice / Attorney General Dr Emmanuel Ugirashebuja.

In his remarks, the outgoing Minister expressed his gratitude to have the opportunity to serve Rwanda, for the benefit of Rwandans. “It's always an honor and a privilege to belong to and serve on Team Rwanda” He added

"It was a great opportunity for me following those who served before me, 8 years of serving with incredible Ministry staff and Sector leadership, 8 years of exceptional collaboration and complementarity 8 years of continuity, achievements, challenges, failures, lessons learnt and reorganization, 8 years of collective contribution to Rwanda." He emphasized

"I will keep the good memories of exceptional flexibility, humility and collaboration from members of the Leadership Group of the Sector." Busingye concluded

The incoming Minister of Justice and Attorney General Dr Emmanuel Ugirashebuja remarks highlighted his excitement to join the big team in the Sector. He thanked the Justice Sector institutions to have achieved good results with the outgoing Minister Busingye Johnston.
