INAUGURATION OF THE REGIONAL CYBER CRIMES CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE
06.10.2023: The Minister of Justice and Attorney General, Dr. Emmanuel Ugirashebuja inaugurated the Regional Cybersecurity Center of Excellence at Rwanda National Police headquarters. This achievement represents a significant milestone in our commitment to advancing technological capabilities, fostering innovation, and promoting cyber-security awareness.
In his remarks, Minister calls upon partners to continue supporting the Centre in its operational, technical and analytical requirements which will undoubtedly contribute to the Centre's effectiveness.
“Today’s inauguration is a significant step towards creating a safer digital environment for the region and fostering international cooperation in the fight against cybercrime.” He said.
Regional Cyber Crimes Centre of Excellence has been established in Kigali, in order to enhance capacity building, operational and rapid responses to cybercrime threats.
