Justice Sector District Committees conducted awareness campaign in secondary schools on prevention of human trafficking, use of drugs and GBV

From 22nd November 2021 to 17th December 2021, the Ministry of Justice in collaboration with the European Union through its project “Support the Ministry of Justice to improve access to quality justice” organized, in 30 districts, community dialogue sessions with Ministry of Justice staff, Justice Sector district committees, different leaders in districts and community representatives.

In this event, following activities were conducted:

✓ Delivering radio talk shows on some community radios on some of the most used laws like family law, anti GBV law,   anti-corruption law, etc.);

✓ Inspecting the respect of rules and regulations within RIB stations and/or Transit Centers; where

some of the identified issues were solved by members of JRLOS District Committees;

✓ Conducting community dialogues with opinion leaders (Abafashamyumvire) on selected topics

by each JRLOS District committees. Opinions leaders include among others representatives of

National Youth Councils, representatives of National Women Council, representatives from local leaders, representatives of security organs, PSF, etc;

✓ Awareness campaign in secondary schools on prevention of human trafficking, use of drugs; prevention and punishment of Gender- Based Violence;

✓ Assisting members of JRLOS District Committees in their activities and ascertain that they

respond to project aspiration.
