Law enforcement agencies must step up by enhancing measures to detect and prevent the cyber-attacks from the source

On 18th July 2022, at Serena Hotel – Kigali, the minister of Justice and Attorney General, Dr. Emmanuel Ugirashebuja presided over the official opening of the 9th Africa Working Group Meeting on Cybercrime for Heads of Units, starting from 18th to 22nd July 2022.

Addressing participants, Minister Ugirashebuja said that Law enforcement agencies must step up by enhancing measures to detect and prevent the cyber-attacks from the source, where investigation and prosecution can effectively take place.

“Countries need to use collective efforts and work more closely with other stakeholders with the aim to share vital information in the detection, prevention and investigation of cybercrime.” Minister emphasized.
