Minister of Justice / Attorney General met with Government legal advisors
On 28th September 2022, the Minister of Justice/Attorney General Dr Emmanuel Ugirashebuja had a meeting with Government legal advisors to discuss enhancement of legal advisory services to Government. Discussions will also tackle changes in the use and management of land as reflected in the Law N° 27/2021 of 10/06/2021 governing land and its implementing Orders.
While addressing to participants, Minister said that meetings like this one aim at appraising and sharpening capabilities in delivering quality legal service to the Government.
"We opted to focus today’s meeting at understanding changes in the use and management of land introduced in the Law N° 27/2021 of 10/06/2021 governing land and its implementing Orders so far published in order to facilitate the smooth management of land." He added
"Land is a major asset in most of people’s transactions and a major source of disputes. It is therefore important for each one of us to be conversant with the laws on its management and use in order to adequately advise our respective institutions whenever need arise." He emphasized
