On Monday 18th May 2020, the Cabinet meeting chaired by His Excellency President Paul Kagame approved the pardon granted to a convict and collective pardon to 36 young women convicted for abortion.
The cabinet also approved a Ministerial Order granting conditional release of 3,596 convicts.
