The IECMS upgrade Needs Assessment was validated

From 08 to 11 May 2023, the Ministry of Justice has organized a workshop on IECMS upgrade need assessment validation for the Justice Sector Institutions to analyse and validate new functionalities of the IECMS. Participants discussed challenges faced with the current system and proposed enhancements.

In his opening remarks, Minister Ugirashebuja emphasized that IECMS helped in justice delivery and built partnerships.

“The IECMS has been a key enabler in justice delivery for many years in the sector. It is commendable how the justice sector institutions have helped to enhance it and now it is a successful story across Africa, where countries are now requesting for our expertise.” He said.

“We need to use the gained experience for judicial diplomacy and share the justice sector’s experience both legal and technical with other countries. Therefore, institutions are required continue working together and closely coordinated to enhance the use of IECMS and continue to build capacities.” Minister added

Integrated Electronic Case Management System (IECMS) has been operational since January 2016 and over the years additional Justice Sector institutions started using IECMS.
