Wherever we are, we can achieve much in national development with the little we have

On Wednesday 19 June 2019, Minister of Justice and Attorney General Busingye Johnston inaugurated Abunzi Mediators’ office that was constructed through community work in Ngarama Sector, Gatsibo District, Eastern Province. The office will be used by the Abunzi Mediators at the appeal level in Ngarama Sector.

The construction works which took eight months on a plot of land donated by Gatsibo District, were worth Rwf18,293,000 contributed by residents.

Minister Busingye commended the noble idea of Gatsibo District and the residents of Ngarama for constructing an office for the Abunzi Mediators who used to work under trees shades.

Minister Busingye termed the act a precedence for changing mindset about construction of offices of Abunzi Mediators at all levels.

“Ngarama residents have set precedence for all of us. Wherever we are, we can achieve much in national development using the little resources we have. This is an example for changing mindset” he said.

The minister urged Ngarama residents to continue seeking Abunzi mediation for resolutions to misunderstandings amongst themselves.
