The consultative meeting with Stakeholders in Justice Sector

On 29th May 2018, at Lemigo Hotel, The Minister of Justice and Attorney General Busingye Johnston held a consultation meeting with stakeholders in Justice Sector. The purpose of the meeting was to agree on how to restore mutual coordination, communication and collaboration framework in the various programs of justice service delivery.

Minister Busingye said that even though there are great projects and programs aimed at improving   justice service delivery, some gaps have emerged with regards to coordination and collaboration with respective institutions. “Though great projects and programs aimed at improving   justice service delivery are currently visible, some gaps have emerged with regards to coordination and collaboration within our respective institutions.  In any speedily developing environment, when major developments are quick and fast evolving, such gaps are bound to emerge and actors must make time to recalibrate and reposition themselves in order to continue to make smooth progress.  That is why we are here today.” Minister said.

He emphasized that good collaboration, coordination and communication will make the partnership more fruitful and productive than it is today.
